San Diego Children Photographer | Disneyland Birthday

 

 

Oh my goodness…my little baby is two! Where has the time gone? She has truly become a beautiful and very funny little being. Her personality is so large it could move mountains and she has become such a kissy and cuddly little…sweetheart!

Having only lived in San Diego for a little over a year, and Eden not being in any sort of day care – there are few children that she knows. A birthday party for her would entail a party full of my friends drinking wine, which don’t get me wrong sounds like a lot of fun! However, I wanted her to have a special day filled with lots of play and exploring. What better place than Disneyland? (Not to mention, as a San Diego family photographer, photographing not just children, but actually childhood itself, is rapidly becoming a passion of mine and ohhhh myyy so many photo ops!) So, we got up super early, got in the car and set off to the happiest place on earth. Other than the blood curdling frightened scream that she let out when Goofy came up and tapped me on the shoulder, I think Eden had a pretty magical day.

I recently got a new lens (Lensbaby) which works like a tilt shift causing little or lots of blur, depending on preference. I loooooove this lens. It adds such a dreamy yet magical, soft and pleasant look to the image, making it look like a beautiful memory. Which let’s face it, that is exactly what photographs are; beautiful memories. I knew it would add the perfect effect for a magical location like Disneyland. I hadn’t planned on using it all day long, but I loved it so much and thought it added such an appropriate affect to each image, that I never once took it off my camera and I can see myself using it often from here on.
