Meet the Brown’s…

Oh my! What an adorable little family! This session has become one of my absolute favorites! The beautiful mother of this perfect family is a good friend and fellow photographer ( Alison of Ali Brown Photography ). She came to me to do her most recent family portraits and I was very excited. She wanted to add a little “zing” (if you will) to her portraits by doing a vintage family photo shoot. Themed sessions can add SO much character to your images, plus who doesn’t love to dress up?! We decided to do the vintage family portrait session in one of my favorite locations of all time, San Clemente Canyon (located in San Diego, don’t let the name fool you!). At this time of year, wild flowers were everywhere, and there are endless meadows for the children to play, and fallen white tree trunks for them to climb. It was PERFECT for this theme! I truly loved photographing these kids interact. Henry and Ilah (which are twins!) were so silly and playful. They were all about exploring and climbing and Ilah even caught a lady bug. Little Oliver sat back and tried to mimic his older siblings. I am finding that I am becoming very passionate about photographing children and the wonders of childhood.  Seeing the world from their point of view and capturing it on camera is  so magical, especially their interactions with their siblings.
